France statue, by Raoul Josset and Jose Martin. Fair Park, Dallas, Texas.
One of six statues representing the six nations that ruled Texas during the state’s history. Commissioned for the Texas Centennial Exposition in 1936; three of the statues were designed by Josset & Martin (France, Mexico, United States) and the other three statues were designed by Stevens (Spain, Texas, Confederacy). Photo taken by me on 16-Aug-2011.
